80 Cheapside

The objective of this design and build project was to return a dilapidated, heavily partitioned 9,500 sq ft office floor back to an open plan, contemporarily designed Cat A+ work space with meeting pods and room for over 100 sit/stand work areas, being sympathetic to the recycling and repurposing of existing material to ensure the most economic and sustainable fit out.

This was achieved by stripping back all meeting room and office partitions, identifying any materials that could be reused within the new scheme, removing all floor coverings and removing from site.

All MF ceilings were removed, and existing metal pan ceiling tiles were removed to allow the required high-level alterations to be carried out. Matching SAS metal ceiling tiles were then introduced where required to achieve a uniform demountable ceiling throughout. Feature raft MF ceilings with liner lights were formed within the more multipurpose areas of the floor.

There were defined zones with a work zone and break out zone, each with a tea point/kitchen. All walls were made good and decorated with identified areas being colour matched to the designed pallet. Acoustic panels were installed to bring texture and colour to the identified areas as well as offering acoustic performance.

Carpet was installed to the workspace areas, with wood effect flooring being installed to demark the breakout and Tea point areas.

New lighting was installed to the Metal ceiling work zone and feature lighting was installed to the breakout,  tea point, and reception area

External decking was installed to all external terrace areas to bring the space back to life.
