Our collective target was to restore the back of house and basement areas to reflect the history and quality of the front of house.

To achieve this, the decades of alterations and fit out works had to be sympathetically stripped back and new high quality systems installed.

Structural alterations included the break through between vaulted arches to link two separate areas. Bespoke wall tiles were commissioned to complete this passage area giving the impression that it had been this way for many generations.

A number of small offices and cupboards were opened up to allow a new gym and changing complex to be introduced for both male and female members and their guests.

A disused meeting room was repurposed to a modern food preparation kitchen so that the members can now enjoy an enhanced dining experience.

The introduction of The Den provides an area of tranquillity and relaxation, with quarry floor tiles and a restored jack arch ceiling. The same ceiling was revealed and enhanced within the Snooker room.

A full mechanical and electrical upgrade was undertaken throughout the scheme which was no mean feat in such a densely populated area, which for many years, was added to and added to, to service the offices and storage areas in the basement.

The entirety of the project took place whilst the Club remained fully operational with great care and consideration given to the members, neighbours and local area.

The project was completed on programme and within the agreed upon budget. It was a pleasure to work on such a prestigious project and one we are proud to add to our portfolio.
