Soundtree Studios comprises of the refurbishment and fitting out of six floors of existing office space to provide independent recording studios, offices and common areas in Chapel Place, London.

The specialist nature of the project required ‘Box in Box’ construction of the recording studios in accordance with the acousticians design to ensure acoustic isolation of the floors, ceiling and walls from the structure to eliminate external interference ensuring perfect recording conditions.

Finishes were typically timber flooring with fabric covered acoustic panelling to the walls and ceilings with acoustic door sets and glazing to benefit from the natural light offered from the existing windows and screens between the studios and control rooms. Full air conditioning, power, ventilation and lighting were provided to a comfortable environment.

The project design was bespoke to the client and the building with four independent recording studios with adjoining control rooms to each studio over two of the floors with their general support offices and back of house on the second floor and break out space for artists to relax on the fifth floor.
