We were appointed by Spark 44, a global leading advertising agency, to undertake the CAT B fit out of 22,500 sq ft of their office space on the 11th & 12th floors at The White Collar Factory on Old Street.
Collaborating with Align Architecture, we delivered a unique project which was heavily design led due to quirky specification producing a contemporary feel with homage to the agencies ties to Land Rover and Jaguar.
There were a number of logistical challenges encountered with the project, The White Collar Factory was a new build project recently completed and the fit out on all 13 floors of the building began simultaneously. This required detailed logistics planning to ensure all floors could be undertaken with minimum disruption to their schedules with careful planning of deliveries which required detailed co-ordination between our subcontractors and the landlords building management team to ensure all materials were received in a timely fashion to suit our programme. The base build design also incorporated the main source of cooling from a pipe system encased within the concrete slabs, this meant that any fixings into the soffits could not exceed 30mm. We had to ensure all operatives were issued with the correct fixing methods and strictly police all fixing into the slabs.
The overall finished project produced the desired effect with exposed high level services, crittall effect glass partitions to meeting rooms and offices and branded bespoke joinery items to client facing areas.
