After 15 years at Bowling Green Lane, we supported our long-standing client, WilkinsonEyre Architects, in relocating their London Studio to a new home at 28 Leonard Street. The project centred around an intricate, high-end CAT B fit-out delivered under an accelerated programme to ensure the studio was fully operational ahead of their lease expiry.
Set in a prime city location, the scheme demanded exceptional planning and execution. Every detail, from early design coordination through to the final handover, was managed with care to ensure a seamless transition and uninterrupted business continuity. Working within a Higher Risk Building added a further layer of complexity, with strict fire protection standards, enhanced inspection requirements, and comprehensive documentation essential for timely Building Control sign-off. Fire-stopping works, compartmentation upgrades, and reconfigurations to the primary core required precise sequencing and continuous liaison with the fire engineer to maintain compliance within the compressed programme.
The technical intricacies extended into the lighting and controls strategy, which combined bespoke architectural fixtures with advanced scene-setting for working, model-making, and event environments. Integrating these systems alongside electrical and AV installations required careful coordination, phased commissioning, and rigorous testing to achieve the intended performance and user experience.
