The project emphasis was for flexible workspaces that caters to various work styles, encouraging teamwork while providing quiet areas for focused tasks.

This project involved the complete refurbishment and retrofit of seven floors of prime office space in Fitzrovia for Databricks. As one of the company’s largest workplaces outside its San Francisco headquarters, the new office needed to support growth, collaboration, and innovation while reflecting the Databricks brand.

We transformed a formerly dark, cellularised post-production office into a bright, open, and highly functional workplace. By removing barriers and reconfiguring the floorplates, we created a modern office environment that promotes collaboration, flexibility, and employee wellbeing. As a result, the refurbished workspace now supports a wide range of working styles.

A key focus of the CAT B fit-out was flexibility. Therefore, the workplace combines open collaboration areas with quieter spaces for focused work. In addition, high-spec meeting rooms equipped with the latest technology enable seamless communication and hybrid working. Together, these features create a workplace that reflects the forward-thinking culture of a leading technology company.

The office fit-out also introduces distinctive colour palettes across each floor, creating a visual identity that connects the entire workplace. Furthermore, carefully selected furniture and bespoke joinery establish a cohesive design language throughout the building. These elements not only strengthen the workplace experience but also create a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Working closely with Databricks, JAC and Novo Design, we delivered a workplace refurbishment that balances functionality, creativity, and sustainability. The completed office showcases how thoughtful design and high-quality construction can transform commercial office space into a dynamic destination for collaboration, innovation, and growth. It also demonstrates how modern office fit-outs can support evolving ways of working while reinforcing company culture.
