A CAT B project over 18,800 sq ft in one of London’s most iconic buildings. A fantastic project to be part and a great team to work alongside.

The CAT B refurbishment at 20 Fenchurch Street transformed the 18,800 sq ft 15th floor into a contemporary workplace. Located within one of London’s most recognisable landmarks, the project reimagined the entire 360-degree floorplate around the end user’s requirements.

The fit-out created a combination of offices, meeting rooms and collaborative areas. Our team installed new ceilings alongside glazed and solid partitioning to define the different spaces. In addition, bespoke joinery provided a high-quality finish throughout the floor.

CAT B Office Fit-Out and Bespoke Finishes

A key feature of the CAT B refurbishment was the new reception, which created an impressive arrival experience. Bespoke joinery continued throughout the workplace, including breakout tea points and feature slatted partitions.

Furthermore, timber wall cladding and distinctive decorative finishes introduced warmth and character. Multiple flooring finishes also helped define individual work zones while maintaining a cohesive appearance throughout the office.

CAT B Refurbishment and Building Services

Alongside the architectural finishes, our team coordinated a comprehensive services package. This included new feature lighting designed to complement the wider interior scheme.

In addition, we introduced a new server room and additional toilet facilities to support the needs of the occupier. Careful coordination between the building services and interior finishes helped maintain the quality of the overall design.

Delivering the 20 Fenchurch Street Workplace

Programme certainty remained an important consideration throughout the works. Through careful planning and coordination, Virtus completed the entire 18,800 sq ft project within the 12-week programme.

Ultimately, the CAT B fit-out transformed the 15th floor into a contemporary and highly functional workplace. The finished space combines bespoke detailing, modern building services and carefully considered finishes.

Moreover, its position within 20 Fenchurch Street provides impressive views across the capital. The completed workplace makes the most of this unique setting while delivering an interior suited to modern ways of working.
