Fast-paced CAT B office fit out for the Insolvency Service in Brighton, delivering high-performance acoustic spaces, upgraded infrastructure and full MEP enhancements within a six-week programme.
Brighton CAT B Fit-Out
The Brighton CAT B fit-out saw Virtus deliver a modern office environment for the Insolvency Service, working alongside ISS and Lewis Berkeley. This repeat appointment focused on upgrading building services and creating acoustically enhanced meeting and interview rooms.
The project included modifications to the existing mechanical and electrical systems. In addition, our team installed new data infrastructure to support the completed workplace.
Creating Meeting and Interview Rooms
A key element of the project involved creating new meeting and interview rooms. These spaces required high levels of acoustic performance to provide privacy and support their intended use.
Therefore, our team incorporated high-performance acoustic plasterboard, specialist glazing and acoustic ceiling tiles. Together, these elements helped achieve the acoustic requirements while maintaining a high-quality finish throughout the new spaces.
Building Services for the CAT B Fit-Out
Alongside the new rooms, Virtus coordinated alterations to the existing mechanical and electrical installations. We also integrated the new data infrastructure with the wider office works.
Careful coordination between the building services, partitions and finishes played an important role throughout the project. As a result, each element worked together within the completed office environment.
Delivering the Brighton CAT B Fit-Out
The project required Virtus to deliver the works within a competitive six-week programme. Furthermore, the global pandemic created potential supply-chain challenges that could have affected delivery.
To manage this risk, our team placed orders with the supply chain as early as possible. This proactive approach helped protect the programme and maintain progress throughout the works.
Virtus completed the Brighton CAT B fit-out within the original six-week timeframe. The finished workplace brought together upgraded services, new data infrastructure and acoustically enhanced meeting and interview rooms.
The project continued our successful relationship with the Insolvency Service. Most importantly, the completed office met the requirements of both the client and professional team while maintaining the quality expected from a Virtus project.
