The Kings Court CAT A+ refurbishment transformed key areas of this modern office building to create a contemporary workplace and arrival experience. The project included the first-floor office, double-height reception, common areas and external spaces.
Kings Court features distinctive brick and glazed elevations and sits within landscaped grounds with outdoor seating. Therefore, our approach focused on enhancing both the workplace and wider building environment.
CAT A+ Office Refurbishment
Our team refurbished the shell and core first-floor office to create a high-quality CAT A+ workspace. The new specification provides a modern environment designed to appeal to contemporary occupiers.
In addition, we completely refurbished the double-height reception area. The works included new access-controlled entrance doors, which strengthened the building’s arrival experience while improving access.
Upgraded Tenant Facilities
We also reconfigured the ground-floor common areas to provide improved facilities for occupiers. The new layout introduced six superloos, a Doc M facility and a shower.
Furthermore, the works extended beyond the main building. Our team resprayed the front curtain wall framework to complement the new feature entrance door. We also introduced a new entrance canopy and upgraded the hard and soft landscaping.
As part of these improvements, we enhanced the existing outdoor seating areas. Together, these changes created a more cohesive and contemporary external environment.
New End-of-Journey Facilities
A new purpose-built cycle pod further enhanced the tenant facilities at Kings Court. Located within the front car park, the facility provides three showers, WCs and a dedicated locker area. It also incorporates access-controlled cycle storage.
As a result, the end-of-journey facilities provide practical amenities for occupiers travelling to work by bicycle.
Transforming the Kings Court Arrival Experience
The Kings Court CAT A+ refurbishment significantly enhanced the overall appearance and functionality of the property. In particular, the new reception, entrance canopy and landscaping created a stronger sense of arrival.
Finally, bespoke totem signage along the roadside and entrance road completed the wider modernisation.
Throughout the 16-week programme, the building remained fully operational with existing tenants in occupation. Through careful planning and coordination, our team completed the works on programme and within budget.
Ultimately, the refurbishment delivered a modern CAT A+ workplace supported by upgraded amenities, improved end-of-journey facilities and a transformed arrival experience.
