A fast-track CAT B fit out for the Insolvency Service at Franciscan House, delivered within a seven-week programme. The project combined MEP upgrades, high-performance acoustic solutions and DDA-compliant access improvements, alongside full IT and furniture coordination.
The Franciscan House fit out saw Virtus deliver a high-quality CAT B workplace for the Insolvency Service. The project transformed the organisation’s recently acquired office space, creating a modern environment tailored to its operational requirements.
CAT B Office Fit Out and Building Services
The works included modifications to the landlord’s existing heating, cooling and ventilation systems. We also installed new electrical, public health and fire safety systems.
In addition, the client required high levels of acoustic performance within the new meeting and interview rooms. Therefore, careful specification and coordination played an important role in the project.
Acoustic Meeting and Interview Rooms
To meet these requirements, Virtus installed high-performance Ecophon ceiling tiles and double-glazed Optima screens. We also introduced acoustic plasterboard partitions to improve sound performance.
Furthermore, our team fitted FD30 veneered door sets with automatic swing door operators. As a result, the completed spaces combined strong acoustic performance with improved DDA access.
Coordinating the Franciscan House Fit Out
Alongside the main construction works, Virtus supported the client with its IT infrastructure and furniture installation. This collaborative approach helped keep each element aligned throughout the programme.
Effective coordination also ensured that the different building services, specialist finishes and client installations worked together within the completed office.
Delivering the CAT B Workplace
Ultimately, Virtus completed the Franciscan House fit out to a high standard, within budget and on schedule. Our team successfully achieved the original seven-week programme.
Furthermore, the finished project received positive feedback from both the client and professional team. The completed workplace provides the Insolvency Service with modern office accommodation supported by upgraded services, accessible features and acoustically enhanced rooms.
