Rathbone place was a challenging yet satisfying project which took 16 weeks to complete. Working over multiple floors, the project was completed on time and within budget.

The reception feature wall and shower room refurbishment transformed the arrival experience and staff facilities while maximising functionality throughout the workplace. From the outset, the design team and Virtus worked closely together to deliver a reception feature wall and shower room refurbishment that met the client’s expectations and enhanced the overall aesthetic of the space.

A standout element of the project was the new reception feature wall panelling. The team carefully developed the design and detailing to create a striking focal point that immediately captures attention and strengthens the identity of the workplace. As a result, visitors and staff are greeted by a high-quality finish that reflects the client’s brand and aspirations.

Shower Room Refurbishment Solutions

The shower room refurbishment presented several challenges. However, the team identified innovative solutions that allowed them to maximise the available space without compromising comfort or usability. Instead of relying on traditional construction methods, they introduced slimmer supporting studwork for the shower walls. Consequently, the layout provided more usable space while maintaining the required performance and durability standards.

External Façade Improvements

In addition, the project included cleaning and redecoration works to the external façade. This aspect required careful planning because the works took place in a busy urban environment. Therefore, Virtus collaborated closely with both local councils to secure the necessary licences and permissions.

Rather than using traditional access methods, the team selected an extended boom lift and implemented minimal traffic management measures. As a result, they completed the external works during normal working hours while minimising disruption to neighbouring properties and pedestrians.

Throughout the project, strong collaboration, practical problem-solving and attention to detail ensured the successful delivery of the reception feature wall and shower room refurbishment, creating an attractive, functional and long-lasting result for the client.
